Rafael Nadal Beats Berrettini To Reach The U.S. Open Finals

Rafael Nadal, born 3 June, 1986, is a Spanish professional tennis player who is currently ranked no. 2 in the world in men’s singles tennis by the ATP.
Rafael Nadal has won 18 Grand Slam singles titles which is the second most highest in the history for a male player. He also has a record of 35 ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles, 20 ATP titles and is the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist. In addition, Nadal has held the no. 1 ranking in the world for a total of 196 weeks. Nadal has also won a record 12 French Open titles, 3 US Open titles, 2 Wimbledon titles, and 1 Australian Open title.
Rafael Nadal will play for his 19th Grand Slam title, one short of Roger Federer’s all-time men’s record, after battling with Italy’s Matteo Berrettini on Friday and he is into his fifth US Open final.
The 33 year old Spanish will play for his 4th US Open crown on 8th September, 2019 at Arthur Ashe Stadium against Russian fifth seed Daniil Medvedev, who reached his first Grand Slam final by defeating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov with the score of 7-6 (5), 6-4, 6-3.
The 18 time Grand Slam singles champion, Rafael Nadal, defeated Matteo Berrettini with the score of 7-6, 6-4 and 6-1 in the second semi-final. The Russian 5th seed Medvedev defeated Grigor Dimitrov 7-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the first semifinal. The 33-year-old Nadal will play for his fourth US Open title.

tough moments at the beginning of the season.” said Rafael Nadal.
“He’s one of the more solid players on tour,” Nadal said of the 23-year-old, who will be appearing in his 4th successive final and 1st at a Grand Slam.
