Delhi: Special campaign against dengue.

Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister said that he himself along with his ministers and government officials will help check mosquito reproduction.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a special campaign against dengue that will engage large contribution of people in preventing raise of mosquito-borne diseases.

Kejriwal said at a press conference “I appeal to Delhi residents to give ten minutes every Sunday from September 1 till November 15, in ensuring there is no inactive water in their houses or environment, which causes reproduction of dengue transporter mosquitoes”
The chief minister said that efforts like establishing Mohalla Clinics and fever clinics have led to 80 per cent decrease in dengue and chikangunya cases in past 3 years.
The government will make certain the contribution of school kids, resident welfare associations and other stakeholders in the campaign.
