Sidharth Malhotra & Parineeti Chopra’s film ‘Jabariya Jodi’ gets postponed and will now release on August 9, 2019

The release of the film ‘Jabariya Jodi’ has been postponed by a week as the lead actors of Jabariya Jodi, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are busy promoting their film in different parts of the nation. This film was earlier slated to release on August 2. But now will release a week later, on August 9. The well-known exhibitors across India came together and requested the makers to change the release date of the film to evade the mess at the box office.
In the place of Jabariya Jodi, Sonakshi Sinha’s Khandaani Shafakhana will be releasing on its scheduled date, August 2, 2019.
Jabariya Jodi is all based on groom kidnapping which is common in some parts of Bihar. This film is a story from Bihar or even Uttar Pradesh, which only happens there. It is so unique to the country because dowry exists only here. It’s not a film only about that. It’s a film with a setting of that, but it is a love story at the heart of it. The film will now see a solo release. Also, it will have a benefit of the communal holidays of Bakra Eid which is on August 12 and Independence Day weekend.
