Rajinikanth Thankful to Indian Government for Golden Jubilee Award Icon at IFFI 2019

Rajinikanth is conferred with Icon of Golden Jubilee award at the International Film Festival of India 2019. It will take place in Goa. IFFI 2019 will begin in Goa on November 20 and it will go until November 28. It is close to 250 films from various countries that will be screened at the movie exhibition.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar made this announcement on Saturday. Javadekar wrote on Twitter, “In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, during the past several decades, I am happy to announce that the award for the ICON OF GOLDEN JUBILEE OF #IFFI2019 is being conferred on cine star Shri S Rajnikant.

Later, Rajinikanth also took to Twitter to thank the Government for this honour. The superstar tweeted and expressed his gratitude. Many of his fans also commented on his tweet and wished the superstar on being conferred with this honour. Rajinikanth tweeted, “I thank the government of India for this prestigious honour bestowed upon me on the golden jubilee of the International film festival of India #IFFI2019.”
In 1975, Rajinikanth made his acting debut with director K Balachandar’s Apoorva Ragangal. He was quickly recognised for his effective performance although he played a small role in the film. He also played negative roles before becoming a solo hero.
The superstar has ruled the cinema for four decades. He commands a loyal fan following not just in Tamil Nadu but across the whole country. His style and unique pranks made him the Superstar that he is today.
Rajinikanth is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Darbar, on the work front. The movie is directed by AR Murugadoss. Post Darbar, he will team up with director Siruthai Siva for a rural entertainer. Sun Pictures will bankroll this film.
